This Guy IS the man...

Any of you who know me at all have heard me talk about this man. You’ve all read my writings about this man. He is a man whose life and teachings have been an incredible daily blessing in my life.

What makes someone SPECIAL to you? Do YOU have a lot of special people in your life? Are YOU special to people in your life? HOW are you special to the people in your life?

For me, this man is special because his KNOWLEDGE has created more A-HA! moments in my life than any other person in the HISTORY OF THE WORLD.

Do you know what an A-HA moment is? If you do, I don’t have to explain. If you don’t, it’s kind of like….Wow Man, that’s a great idea! Let’s do it!

When I was 15, every single idea that came out of Napoleon Hill’s mind was an A-HA moment for me. WHEN I WAS 15!

And the older I got, the wiser he became. This man, Napoleon Hill. Until I got old enough to realize that he was a MASTER in his field, which was in teaching others to become MASTERS of their financial life by becoming MASTERS OF THEIR FINANCIAL THINKING. That’s why he called his book “THINK and Grow Rich”.

He’s got it nailed. I am a living testament to it. If everyone did exactly what Napoleon Hill teaches, everyone would be living a lifestyle so much greater in quality in every way that it would be unimaginable for most people.

Obviously, few do exactly what he teaches, and as a result, few achieve the kind of success this blog is dedicated to.

Napoleon Hill came first for me, back in 1969. Then came Dale Carnegie, and the floodgates of other special people began, each providing me with tons of A-HA moments.

The greatest A-HA person I know personally is my friend Harv Eker. As an entrepreneur, he is brilliant. Watching him has created many A-HA moments for me. As a program designer, he is brilliant. Seeing what he’s created, and how he’s created it, has created many A-HA moments for me. As a trainer/speaker, he is brilliant, with stage presence and charisma that’s incredible, and that’s created many A-HA moments for me. But more than anything, the content that Harv delivers is right on.

The more A-HA moments you have in your life, the more successful your life is going to be. I seek them out. I’m looking for as many A-HA moments as I can find throughout the day. They’re everywhere. They’re easy to find. Especially now that the Internet provides so much information to your fingertips. Some call it a thirst for knowledge. I know it is for me.

As New Year approach, I hope you will focus on setting a goal of achieving multiple A-HA moments every single day next year.

It Took Me the Longest Time.........

One of the greatest benefits of studying successful people and the strategies they used to achieve their success, is that you don’t have to reinvent the wheel. You can simply follow their strategies and get the same results.

That doesn’t mean that you don’t have a learning curve and that you will still have to force yourself to grow. It means you’ll save a lot of time along the way. It means that what took someone 5 years to figure out and do, you can now do in 18 months.

It's taken me a long time to understand one guiding principle that has made all the difference to me since I’ve begun applying it. Don’t wait until you’re my age to figure this one out.

When observing the most successful people I personally know in life, and looking at the lives of the most successful people I’ve studied, THIS ONE ESSENTIAL INGREDIENT IS COMMON.

To be extraordinarily successful, you will need to form YOUR TEAM. It is virtually impossible to be highly successful without the help and cooperation of other people.

Henry Ford always talked about the idea that he surrounded him with folks WHO WERE SMARTER THAN HIM. If he needed a great designer for his team, he found one. If he needed a great marketer for his team, he found one. Whoever he needed to find and add to his team, he did. He called that HIS MANAGEMENT TEAM. Relying on the performance of each member of the team in their area of expertise made Henry Ford a wealthy man. Their meetings were in fact, what Napoleon Hill refers to as a Mastermind Meeting.

In the past couple of years, as I have moved away from Corporate America and into Entrepreneurship America, I have finally begun to truly understand this concept of team and mastermind.

To be a truly successful entrepreneur, there are many areas where you need to be a MASTER, or have access to a MASTER. There are simply too many areas that come up for you to personally take the time to learn and MASTER the topic.

What’s the major shortcut to HUGE financial success? Decide EXACTLY the GOAL you want to accomplish, figure out the plan to accomplish it, decide which areas you will personally tackle, and decide which areas you will EMPLOY the skills and expertise of others.

In our personal lives, we need to begin to create our TEAM. For most of us,, the team will include your doctor, your dentist, your barber/stylist. A critical missing factor for virtually every person I ever meet is a FINANCIAL WEALTH BUILDER COACH. Someone on your team to help you in an area that is critical to your financial success. Someone on your team to help you improve your money management skills, your income generating skills.

As you go through your day, keep in mind the idea of building your team, your GO TO guys/gals in the areas of life that are important to you. Build your team relationship by relationship. Assemble them regularly for mastermind meetings. Learn to depend and rely on them just as they can depend and rely on you.

UNDERSTANDING WHAT YOU’VE JUST READ WILL SHORTEN YOUR PATH TO SUCCESS BY HALF!

One of my goals for 2008 is to build and grow several mastermind groups of self motivated, positive, enthusiastic, energetic, and success focused individuals who are looking for a way to LEAP INTO A NEW FINANCIAL LIFESTYLE, and are willing to put in the price of time, energy and money to make their dreams a reality.

This is the SHORTCUT to achieving success at a large scale. If you fit this description, or IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE who fits this description, I’d like to hear from you.

Start today to find your team. Pick people you respect. Get to know them and make sure they resonate with you. Find high energy people, who charge you up rather than wear you down. Find positive people, who are solution oriented instead of problem focused. Find people you genuinely like. Find people who are MASTERS at what they do. When you have a team of MASTERS, and you also happen to MASTER what you do, there can only be one ultimate result.

What are your beliefs??

You’ll want to pay close attention to every word in this post, because this is a life changing concept if you really get it.

I’ve got a very unique perspective of society that few people ever get a glimpse of. As a CPA for over 25 years, and now one of the most successful Bank on Yourself Advisors in the country, I’ve been able to sit down and have serious conversations about the personal financial lives of thousands of people. These people come from all walks of life, all ages, all genders, I’ve seen them all. So, what I write here is to educate you on what my experience is, not on what I’ve read in a book or watched on TV. You can choose to believe or not believe any or all of what I write. It is simply my experience.

Here’s what I see daily. Most people are uninspired. They aren’t happy with the work they do, the income they have, the investments they made or didn’t make, their financial life in general.

When I ask them why they don’t do something else, or earn more money, or make better investments, they all say the same thing. They can’t. They don’t know how. They wouldn’t know where to begin. It’s too late for them. Excuses, excuses, excuses.

I’ll suggest that they consider becoming an entrepreneur. No way! Risk their money and their time and energy without any guarantee of anything?? Am I nuts??

Life is a self fulfilling prophecy. Change your beliefs and you CHANGE YOUR LIFE! You can change your beliefs about anything, about everything, in the flash of a second.

My good friend and mentor Harv Eker always talks about the process of manifestation, which says that your thoughts lead to your feelings which leads to your actions which leads to your results. But I’m not sure I buy entirely into that because it’s really your BELIEFS that lead to your actions.

The simple fact of the matter is that YOU CAN BE AN EXTRAORDINARY YOU. All you have to do is BELIEVE that you can grow yourself into someone special and you can.

The critical question now is…..

WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE??

It's Really Just This Simple.....

It’s a cool and damp Saturday morning in Phoenix, and my client just called to reschedule. So, how do I make the best use of this time?

Earlier today, I read something so profound, but so simple, that I wanted to get my thoughts on paper while they were still fresh in my mind.

Here's the simple thought.....People who are successful in life are prepared to do what most people won’t.

Most people talk about losing weight, getting in shape, becoming financially free, but only a few are prepared to make the changes in their life to make it happen.

There is always a price to pay before the goods are delivered. You can’t buy success on credit. You have to earn it before you receive it.

Everyone is looking to get rich quick. Actually, today, more than any time in human civilization, it is possible to get rich quick. When I say quick, I’m thinking 3 to 5 years.

But that’s not what most people want. No! They want the EASY WAY to get rich quick. In 90 days from now, by simply doing A, B, and C, you’ll never have to work another day in your life kind of easy.

I’ve been studying successful people my entire adult life. I’ve modeled my entire adult life from successful people. Successful people are all willing to put in the work. They are willing to focus on their work until they become MASTERS of it. They’ve built a foundation of experience and knowledge that can NEVER be taken away from them. They have a ‘BLUEPRINT’ that is set for success.

Success is a science. It can be predicted with certainty. If you DO certain things, you will most likely RECEIVE certain results. As you do it better, you get better results.

You will never be any worse at anything in your life than you are right now. ANYTHING you choose to become better at, you can. It’s entirely YOUR choice.

BUT……you can’t fool the Universe. If you haven’t put in your time and effort, if you’ve cut corners or acted out of integrity, you won’t see the kind of success we’re talking about here.

The difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is that SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO DO WHAT MOST PEOPLE WON’T.

I’ve quoted Wade Cook previously, but what he says is so true…IF YOU’RE WILLING TO DO FOR A FEW YEARS WHAT MOST PEOPLE WON’T, YOU CAN DO FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WHAT MOST PEOPLE CAN’T.

So, where do you start? How do you begin to create a new "BLUEPRINT”?

First, become a lifelong LEARNER. Get passionate about LEARNING how to be more successful in the areas of your life that are important to you.

Second, become a lifelong DOER. Get passionate about DOING the things you learn.

That’s it. Two simple steps. Two simple steps that if you understand them and do them, will change your life forever. The 5% who are living life at their full potential are doing it.

One last time, SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO DO WHAT MOST PEOPLE WON’T.

Do You Realize This????

The world is going through major changes unlike we’ve ever experienced before.

Technology now allows all of us access to virtually any piece of information we desire at the push of a few buttons.

What does this mean for you and me?

It means that everything you ever need to know to accomplish anything you want in life is now within your reach.

It means that you can access the most successful minds in every area of life from the comfort of your home.

It means that you can communicate with people all over the world who share the same interests you do.

IT MEANS THAT YOU CAN CREATE WEALTH FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD YOU CHOOSE TO SPEND YOUR TIME!

In fact, as an entrepreneur, the Internet can be the fastest way for ANYONE to create financial freedom in this day and age.

Unfortunately, it isn’t quite as easy as setting up a web site and waiting for the money to start rolling in. Life doesn’t happen that way.

However, ANYONE who decides to devote 1,000 hours of their life to becoming an internet entrepreneur and really COMMITS to putting in the time and the effort and the financial investment, can become financially free.

The critical element is the system you choose to implement. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel. You don’t have to go through the school of hard knocks.

Just like the “real world”, THE FAILURE RATE of Internet marketing business mirrors traditional businesses. Less than 5% of all Internet sites are profitable. In other words, 95% FAIL!

What you do have to do is research and find someone who is already successful as an internet marketer, look at their system, look at their ethics, and decide if they meet your needs.

When I ran Peak Potentials Training, Harv Eker used to have some of the most successful internet marketers on the planet come and teach at his programs. I saw their systems and their strategies, and watched as they were creating sales real time while they were on the stage teaching.

Over the past couple of years, I have researched many of the most successful Internet marketing “gurus”. I have met several successful Internet marketers. It’s been a desire of mine to learn as much as possible, “get in the corridor”, and then create a “mastermind” with others who are COMMITTED to become MASTERS in the business of Internet marketing.

What are the rewards for learning to MASTER the skills of Internet marketing? Is it worth the pursuit?

Well…..imagine having $5,000, $10,000, $20,000 or more coming in each month as income? Imagine being able to grow your business exponentially. Imagine running your own business and controlling your own life. Imagine having a business that ran 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, all from the comfort of your own home, or the beach in Tahiti, or your cabin in Colorado, or wherever you have access to a phone and the internet. Imagine having a business that operates whether you are there or not.

These are the potential rewards of mastering the skills of Internet marketing and then taking the necessary ACTION with that knowledge and working at it until you succeed.

I’ve learned that there are about 10 key steps that must be mastered in order to really succeed as an Internet marketer. If you miss any one of these steps, you’ll be in trouble.

Napoleon Hill wrote in his best selling book “Think and Grow Rich” that the concept of a MASTERMIND GROUP can have a gigantic impact on the success of any worthwhile goal. If each person brings critical skills to the group, the end result is something far greater than any one person could accomplish on their own.

As I prepare my 2008 goal list, one of my highest goals is to create a mastermind group of the RIGHT people who want to MASTER Internet marketing, and create another source of income.

When I say RIGHT people, I’m referring to their habits and characteristics.

Here they are…….

They have to be nice people. I surround myself with people I enjoy being with.
They have to be willing to learn. I surround myself with people who have a thirst for knowledge.
They have to be passionate about their own personal growth and development. I surround myself with high energy, positive people.
They have to be COMMITTED. I surround myself with people whose word I can count on.
They have to have a “Warrior” mentality. If you don’t know what that is, look back in my blog to all the posts I’ve written about it.
They have to want to join the elite top 5%. That’s what this blog is all about.

ARE YOU THE RIGHT PERSON?
