It’s allowed me to go back and see where my life was and what I was focused on at any time during this period.

A Life Changing Moment...

There are always certain events that change the course of your life.

If you follow closely and understand the meaning of today’s post, this will be one of them.

In my last post, You were introduced to your “conditioned mind.”

You learned that it isn’t interested in your success, only your survival.

You learned that its primary goal is to keep you in your current comfort zone.

You learned that it will do whatever it can to keep things the same, but to let you think that you’re changing.

You learned that you have to become aware of your conditioned mind.

So now, you should be pretty clear on who your current biggest enemy is. It resides right between your ears, and it’s called your conditioned mind. Your biggest enemy isn’t outside of you … it’s inside of you.

That’s why, to find true success in life, whether it’s wealth and abundance, happiness, or whatever makes you complete, you have to win the inner game of success. You have to turn your own worst enemy into your biggest ally.

And starting right here and right now, you’re going to head down that path.

This is the same path I started down almost 40 years ago when I was just 15. I was one of the lucky ones who learned how the conditioned mind worked at a fairly young age, and I’ve been working on making it my greatest ally ever since.

It’s never a completed project, because you can always improve in any part of your life. But I promise you, that as you turn your worst enemy into your strongest friend, as I have, you gain the most powerful ally known to mankind.

Since I’ve spent the majority of my life studying and working in the areas of money, finance and entrepreneurship, my mastery is in these fields. So there will be a natural bias here to apply these principles towards the attainment of wealth and abundance.

But what you learn here applies to any area of your life that is important to you. The great thing about these principles is that they are universal.

So how do you go about transforming your worst enemy into your most powerful ally?

You start by making a decision.

You decide that from this day forward you will “recondition” your conditioned mind, so that it eventually comes around to your wishes and desires, and helps you automatically move towards them.

Unfortunately, 95 out of every 100 people reading this post won’t ever make this decision and follow through on it.

Those are the facts. Their conditioned mind has such a strong hold over them that it controls their entire existence.

Are you one of the 5% who can change the course of your life starting right now?

Yes, you are.

You can choose to make this decision.

You can choose to look at your life until this very moment as a training ground for what to do and what not to do for the rest of your life based from what you’ve already learned.

From what you’ve learned so far in life, are you as happy as you want to be?

… as healthy as you want to be?

… as successful as you want to be?

… as fulfilled as you want to be?

If you aren’t it’s because your conditioned mind is much more concerned with your survival than it is in any of these other issues. It stops you from changing into the person you need to become to get what you want.

Does this make any sense to you?

For you to have all the success and happiness you want in life, you will have to grow yourself into the person capable of having all that success and happiness.

It isn’t going to happen by accident.

The starting point for all change, all achievement and accomplishment is in understanding what you want. What do you want in life? More importantly, what do you want badly enough to be willing to change to get it? What do you want badly enough that you are willing to fight the prodding’s of your conditioned mind not to do it because of every reason it can come up with. (Some call it fear.)

You’ve heard this all before, but it’s true. The most successful people have specific goals and dreams. They don’t just want to be happy or rich. That’s far too general. Everybody wants to be happy and rich. Yet how many are?

What does that tell you?

Hopefully, it tells you that what you say you want and what you really want are 2 completely different things.

The fact is, the life you’re living right now is the life you want, because if you didn’t, you’d do something to change it.

So obviously, if you aren’t as happy as you’d like to be or as wealthy as you’d like to be, something is going to have to change.

Please don’t tell me that it’s the economy

… or the government

… or your job

… or your appearance

… or your parents

… or any of it.

Those are just excuses made up to justify why you aren’t successful.

And, guess who’s sending you those excuses?

You got it, your conditioned mind.

The one thing that you must change is you. It’s the only thing you have control over.

… not the economy

… or the government

… or anyone else or anything else in this world.

So once you have specific goals to shoot for, you can begin to take control of your conditioned mind and turn its awesome force into good.


For now, you have a decision to make.

Are you going to accept the life you have today and the person you are today, and simply accept whatever circumstances life throws at you like everyone else?

Or …

Are you going to focus on the person you wish to become and the life you want to build for yourself, and then dedicate yourself to a higher standard that you know you’re capable of?

You’ll never reach your full potential and happiness until you’ve made this decision.

Your journey to real success begins with a decision.

Make a Decision.....

If you had the time, you could study hundreds of people to discover what the secrets are to success.

You could observe the habits and thinking of those who struggle daily through life and see why.

That would teach you what not to do.

You could also analyze the habits and thinking of those who are succeeding on a big scale and you’d see why they get those results.

That would teach you exactly what to do if you wanted to have their kind of success.

…..and the sooner you realize both what not to do and what to do, the sooner you’ll be on your path to your greatest success.

How do I know this?

Over the past almost 40 years, since the age of 15, I’ve consciously focused on learning what leads people to failure, and what leads people to success. In my case, I’ve specifically learned about financial success or failure.

Over those 40 years, I’ve spent thousands of hours studying, reading, practicing and teaching in this area.

I got an MBA and a CPA to get as much formal training as I could.

I worked for the largest Fortune 500 companies to be trained with and work with some of the best minds in the business community.

I ran one of the fastest growing business and personal success training companies in North America.

I created financial independence for myself and my family by age 49.

I own a highly successful real estate investment company.

I also own a very successful financial consulting practice.

If you’ve ever heard me give a speech, or know me as a client, you know that I am living proof to all that I teach.

Everything you read here has proven to work for me, just as it has for thousands of others who decide to make the decision to learn it and live it.

I’ve taken the time to learn all of this so you don’t have to….. unless of course, you’d like to spend the next 40 years of your life learning it for yourself.

At the very top of the list of reasons people fail is that they procrastinate. They refuse to make a decision and take action.

They need to think about it.

Have you ever heard that little voice inside your head tell you that?

“I gotta think about it?”

Of course you have.

That little voice is actually your own worst enemy, and it’s called your conditioned mind.

It has no desire for you to change anything in your life. Even if it might lead you to something better, your conditioned mind doesn’t care.

Change requires work. It creates risk. It forces you to get out of your comfort zone, (doing what comes naturally), and your conditioned mind isn’t up for any of it.

The one and only thing your conditioned mind cares about is your survival. It really doesn’t care about your success.

If you’re lazy, your conditioned mind is fine with that. You’re surviving.

If you’re bored, it’s fine with that too. You’re surviving.

If you're struggling, fine too. You’re surviving.

But think about growing, changing, learning or improving, and your conditioned mind will spring into action.

It’ll do everything in its power to keep things the same, and at the same time let you think that you’re going to change.

What that means is that you have to STOP listening to that little voice and begin to take control of your mind and your thoughts.

On the other hand, at the top of the list of things that all successful people do is that they make decisions quickly and decisively, and they change them slowly if at all.

Every day, you make thousands of decisions. It’s the quality of your decisions that determines the quality of your life.

When you make a decision that moves you towards your desires in life, and follow through with action, you automatically call to your aid forces unseen that will actually help you to achieve your dreams.

For you to reach your dreams and goals in life, you’ll have to grow yourself into a person capable of having them. That means, on a daily basis, you need to make decisions and take actions that continually move you towards what you want.

Since a successful person knows what they want in life, they automatically make decisions throughout the day that propel them towards their goals. They don’t spend a lot of time thinking about things, they make the decision and move forward.

When they don’t know what to do, they set a deadline for making a decision, and then go to work getting all the information they need to make an informed one.

They call their contacts that have knowledge and insights.

They explore and research on line or in books.

They do whatever they have to do in order to make a decision, and then they make it.

Will they always be right? Well, is anyone always right?

If you’re afraid to make a decision because you might make the wrong one, you’ll never make one.

If you aren’t reaching your full potential, in any area of your life, I can guarantee you that you are a poor decision maker.

The very best decision you can make right now is to decide that you aren’t going to be controlled by your conditioned mind any more.

Your situation today is a DIRECT RESULT of listening to your conditioned mind up to this point. This is the best it can do for you!

If you want more out of life, you have to fight the daily battle with your conditioned mind until you finally, (through practice), gain the upper hand and train it to be your ally rather than your arch enemy.

Stop listening to it. Today.

Begin to practice making decisions quickly, and acting on them. I promise you that as soon as you stop procrastinating and begin to make decisions quickly, you will begin to move your life onto a whole new level.

Make a decision today to join the Elite top 5% who are achieving their dreams and goals.

Woody Allen was WRONG!

Wrong about what??

Woody once said that “90% of success was just showing up!”

He was missing one CRITICAL word…….

and that one critical word was “PREPARED.”

Daily I meet with prospects and clients who want to break away from the financial struggles of their life and have a chance for something better.

It’s a universal feeling.

We all think about and worry about MONEY more than any other issue.

If you doubt that, take a look at the NUMBER 1 issue in the election.

It’s not HEALTH CARE!

It’s not EDUCATION!

It’s not IMMIGRATION!

It’s THE ECONOMY!

People are worried about their pocketbooks.

They’re worried about their savings, their retirement funds, and their homes.

Most people are struggling to barely get by, forget about getting ahead.

This is very common among the people I meet and advise daily.

I ask my clients a simple question. Is your intention to “GET BY” or to “GET AHEAD?”

Let me ask YOU something……..

if your intention in life is to do just enough to GET BY, guess how much you’ll get?

Enough to GET BY. And no more.

Right?

Some people tell me that their intention is to GET AHEAD.

But after a 5 minute conversation, I can’t see anything that they’re doing that’s going to get them ahead of where they are right now.

Hopefully, YOU want to GET AHEAD.

My entire purpose for everything I do is to lead you directly onto the path so you can GET AHEAD, and more importantly STAY AHEAD and win the MONEY GAME.

I’ve been studying and applying these principles and ideas for almost 40 years, since I first picked up and began studying THINK AND GROW RICH by Napoleon Hill when I just 15.

So not only do I know that they work from my own personal experience, I’ve seen them work for thousands of others who are PREPARED to learn and apply them in their lives.

I ran a very successful Business and Personal Development company based in Vancouver, Canada a few years back. Peak Potentials Training is one of the largest of its kind in North America, if not the largest.

During my time running the company, I saw tens of thousands of people come to our seminars.

I wish I could say that 100% of them found the success they were looking for.

Sadly, success is elusive. It’s not easy. If it were, everybody would be successful all the time, and we know that’s not true.

But I got to know the 5% who did reach for more and went out and did it.

Amazingly, the 5% didn’t have a lot in common. There were just as many women as men. There were just as many younger people as older. There were housewives, mechanics, salespeople, even handicapped.

The one thing they all had in common was that they showed up PREPARED.

They all knew what they wanted, and were PREPARED to show up wherever they needed to show up to get them to the next step in the plan.

Usually, one of the first things everyone needs to do to succeed in anything is to get educated about it. Those who understand this and then show up PREPARED to learn start off miles ahead of the rest.

Once you’ve got the knowledge, you have to be PREPARED to practice using it in your life as soon and as often as possible so that it becomes HABIT. Few make it this far.

As you practice your new habit, you must be PREPARED to improve it so that you MASTER it. Only the successful make it this far.

And so it is with money, wealth and abundance.

Think about this……

Your body needs food daily to survive.

If you feed it potato chips all day, it won’t get the nourishment it needs to be strong and healthy.

WHAT ARE YOU FEEDING YOUR MIND EVERY DAY??

Are you PREPARED to make sure that you’re feeding your mind high quality, valuable thoughts every day?

Those who REALLY have the intention to GET AHEAD do.

And it's for those people that my message is intended……

because if you REALLY have the intention to GET AHEAD, I guarantee you that the information you’ll find here WILL transform your life as it has for thousands of others.

If You're Not in One of These Two Groups....You've Got a Major Problem...

Do you realize that people, just like you, are going from poor to financially free every year?

They’re no smarter than you, or more educated than you, or had any more money to start with than you do. They just KNOW SOMETHING YOU DON’T, AND THEY’RE DOING SOMETHING YOUR AREN’T.

My financial consulting practice draws hundreds of people from every background imaginable. Thanks to the effective radio advertising that I’ve been doing in Phoenix for years, I’ve created a large group of clients. Every single day, from the FRONT LINES, I see exactly how most people play the money game, manage their money, and where they’re headed financially.

Here is what I see……

I see EVERYBODY struggling with money. Most can hardly keep their financial head above water.

I see EVERYBODY mismanage their money. Most haven’t got a clue what proper money management is, and are playing a losers game.

But…almost everybody I meet with wants EXACTLY what I have…..Financial Freedom.

What is Financial Freedom?..........

Imagine having enough money coming in every month to pay your bills without you HAVING to go to work……

For many people, we’re talking about $3,000 a month, or $5,000 or $7,000 a month.

Do you want to DRAMATICALLY increase your odds of becoming a financially free person?

There are only a two groups who have the odds in their favor when it comes to financial freedom….

Professionals, like doctors, lawyers, dentists, etc…… This group earns enough income to be able to save and grow their wealth.

Entrepreneurs…..There are always a small group of entrepreneurs who beat the odds and create businesses that generate a great income.

Which group do you fall into?

What do they do with all of their money?

They SPEND it! All of it, AND MORE!

We have A NEGATIVE SAVINGS RATE in our country! Our expenses rise to meet our income…..and then some.

But, at least these folks have a fighting chance to win the game if they just learn the rules and take advantage of their situation.

Suppose you fall into the second group…….you’re a highly successful entrepreneur. You’ve figured out how to build a great business and you’re making a lot of money from it. I also have many clients who fall into this category.

Most of these “successful” people have never been educated about money management, winning the money game, and becoming financially free.

What do they do with all of their money?

They SPEND it! All of it, AND MORE!

But, at least these folks have a fighting chance to win the game if they just learn the rules and take advantage of their situation.

If you DON’T fall into one of these 2 categories, YOU HAVE A MAJOR PROBLEM!!

It’s not that you haven’t any chance to ever become financially free, it’s just that the odds are 1 in a million against you.

To improve your odds, you can join one of these groups!

You could decide to go back to school to become a doctor, lawyer or dentist.

You could.

But it would be expensive, and take many years to accomplish.

Or…..You could choose to LEARN how to become an entrepreneur.

You could LEARN the exact thoughts that successful entrepreneurs think!

You could LEARN the exact principles that successful entrepreneurs use!

You could LEARN the exact skills that successful entrepreneurs master!

And you could LEARN step by step, exactly how to build your own successful entrepreneurial business.

Success as an Entrepreneur is a LEARNABLE skill!

It wouldn’t cost as much as going back to school to become a professional.

It wouldn’t take as much time.

Imagine Having Your Own "Dream Team"....

Did you see where the U.S. Men’s Basketball team won gold at the Olympics? Much like the teams of the 80’s, this year’s team was described as a “Dream Team”. Given the salary cap in professional basketball, there is no way this team could be formed except for the Olympics.

Every player was an all star. When one star sat down, another replaced him. With all that talent, there was no way this team was going to lose.

I believe that every PERSON should be a part of such a team! No, not a basketball team, but their own team equally dedicated to SUCCESS in the areas of WEALTH and ABUNDANCE.

A Fresh New View.....

One of the great things about taking vacations the way that I do is that I’m gone long enough to let everything sink in for 2 to 3 weeks and then return to a fresh new view.

It’s amazing how our minds work. You’d think that taking “time off” from work would put you further behind when you get “back” to work. But while YOUR CONSCIOUS MIND is taking time off on vacation, your UNCONSCIOUS MIND is able to take a step back from your canvas of life and see new opportunities that you couldn’t possibly see at ground zero. When you do this consciously my great friend Jon Ward refers to this as “ZOOM THINKING” and it is a brilliant way of thinking to promote expanded horizons and viewing your life and your opportunities from different points of view.

If you are thinking of touring Europe anytime soon, be prepared to spend a lot of money! It was hard to believe how few Euro’s I’d get for my American dollars.

Regardless, getting to see cities and sites I’ve read about, studied and seen in movies or on television first hand is priceless.

If you happen to like cruising the way that Sue and I do (this was our 13th or 14th), it’s always a fun getaway. If you’re lucky enough to be seated at a table like we had, it just enhances the experience. We were at a table of 5 couples that hit it off and had a fun 12 meals together over 12 nights.

The Europe we saw is so much different from the U.S.A. It has a completely different personality from the cigarette smoking that’s everywhere, to the wine with every meal, to the motor scooters and bikes that flood the streets, and the small cars parked like sardines along the side of the streets turning them from 2 lanes into 1.

To see the Vatican City, the Coliseum, and all the historical sites in Rome, along with Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius; to go in a water bus along the Grande Canal in Venice and wander the streets for hours on end; to walk the walls of Dubrovnik in Croatia, or take a bike ride along the walls of Lucca in the Tuscany region; to eat an authentic Italian meal in Positano, Italy way up the “Vertical City” overlooking the expensive yachts of the Rich and Famous; to dine in Monaco and witness the incredible wealth of this tiniest of nations; to stand next to and pretend to be holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa; for all of these reasons and too many more to mention here, to experience all of this, to me, is priceless.

Over the past 18 years, my wife Sue and I have taken at least 1 such trip annually. I am blessed for having had this opportunity and taken advantage of it. Travel, learning, seeing new people and places, are all a priceless part of my life.

Having financial freedom, as I do, allows me to have a priceless life! Do you have a PRICELESS LIFE? If you do, you are blessed! If you don’t I can guide you, as I guide my clients and friends daily in my business.

Commit to having a priceless life. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves and EARN your priceless life. You actually can learn how to create your priceless life. It’s up to you to take the action.

The Immense Power of.......

Do you want success in your life? Abundance? Wealth? Happiness?

From as far back as my memory goes, my Mom would constantly tell me I was a “bright boy”. Every night she’d remind me that I was “bright.” When I screwed up, she’d tell me that I was “too bright” to make the choice I made.

By the time I was 5 or 6 years old, I’d heard my Mom tell me I was “bright” hundreds of times. So, guess what I believed? I MUST be bright, I heard it from my Mom my whole life, and certainly my Mom wouldn’t lie to me!

Because I BELIEVED I was “bright”, it affected everything I did, and it has for my entire life.

In truth, was I really “bright”? Maybe, and maybe not.

Did it matter if I was really “bright” or not?

NO!!!!!

The only thing that mattered was WHAT I BELIEVED!

And the only thing that will matter to you is WHAT YOU BELIEVE!

Unfortunately, all of us live with many beliefs that aren’t true, and THOSE FALSE BELIEFS STOP US FROM SUCCESS EVERY TIME!

Let’s take your financial life and look at your beliefs there.

How much are you earning? $40,000? $75,000? $250,000? $2,000,000? Whatever that amount is reflects what you believe you’re worth. It MUST mean that, because if you BELIEVED that you were worth more, you’d be earning it.

Do you work hard to earn your money? If you do, it MUST mean that you BELIEVE you have to work hard for your money.

All of us have millions of beliefs. It only takes a handful of false, negative beliefs that we hold as true to stop us from ever achieving the success that is inside of us.

Bottom line, if you really want success in your life, financial or otherwise, the very first thing you MUST DO is reexamine your beliefs, and take the negative, false beliefs that were planted inside your mind when you were too young to know any better, examine them for what they are, and have the courage and strength to choose a more positive belief that will lead you to your promised land!

You are brighter than you think! You are more successful than you think! Begin to start believing these thoughts. Every day, you can work at eliminating the negative beliefs and installing the positive beliefs until one day, you too will have the MIDAS TOUCH.

The Secret to Learning....

If you were going to teach someone something, what would be the most important quality you’d want your “student” to have?

Numerous studies have been conducted trying to answer this exact question. What is the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT QUALITY every student must possess?

Why would so many brilliant minds spend countless hours researching and analyzing this question? Why is it so critical to possess this quality?

Dr. Benjamin Bloom, a noted psychologist who spent the better part of his brilliant career studying EXCELLENCE once said that “ANYONE can learn ANYTHING given enough time.”

What that tells us is that you don’t have to be a genius in order to learn anything. You just have to study it as long as it takes UNTIL you’ve learned it.

The most successful people in the world in every field are all outstanding learners. They learn whatever information they need to in order to improve in their areas of interest, and never stop expanding their knowledge.

The SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT QUALITY every student must possess is the DESIRE to want to learn the subject. The stronger the DESIRE to MASTER the knowledge being learned, the more successful the student will become.

Are you a student? Do you have a regular plan for learning new information that you can put to use in your life? Do you budget time every day, every week for learning? Do you budget money every month for your continuing education?

Chances are, if you’re out of school, you don’t do any of this! And chances are, you’ll never be successful. Never! If you do happen to stumble into success through luck, you’ll lose it, because you’ve never learned anything else.

I hate to be the bearer of this news, but that’s how we are. We run on our own programs, our habits, and unless we learn to change them……well, I hope you’re getting the picture.

Do you want to be a lot more successful in life? Starting right now?

Make up your mind that from this moment forward YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE A BURNING DESIRE TO BE A GREAT STUDENT!

Once you decide exactly what it is you want to learn, have a burning desire to learn it well enough to MASTER IT, and to put it into action in your life.

Half way already.....

Can you believe it? We’re half way through 2008! Wow, where does the time fly?

On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate the first half of 2008?

What’s been your biggest success of this year?

My primary goal was to continue to grow my business and to add value for my clients.

I wanted to invest in my education and I’ve attended 2 out of state seminars, purchased and studied dozens of books and audio books, as well as form a Master Mind Group.

I wanted to explore opportunities with business “gurus” and have several incredible opportunities now available to me.

I wanted to create a state of the art learning program, and am now actually in production for this project. I believe this program will impact the lives of millions of people.

I wanted to travel, and have 3 weeks in Europe right around the corner.

Someone mentioned to me something about a recession. I told them I refuse to participate.

We still have 6 full months left in this year. Six months that can be the starting point for your future success.

How do you intend to invest these next 6 months? What are you going to do that’ll be any different than what you’ve done for the first 6 months of this year?

Here’s an idea that is guaranteed to get you results.

Write down the single, most important thing you MUST accomplish by the end of this year. It’s got to be something that if you complete it, will be an accomplishment that will be worth the effort you’ll have to put in to get it.

Fix in your mind ONE SINGLE GOAL. Think about it. Visualize it. Meditate about it. One goal that is special.

After you decide what it is, tell someone close to you what you’re goal is and that you intend to do it by the end of the year. Ask for their support.

And then, make up your mind once and for all, that this time, YOU WILL SUCCEED. This time, there’s no doubt about it, you can and you will accomplish your goal.

Education, Education, Education.....

I get a unique view of life few of you ever have a chance to see. Having a successful financial consulting practice means I get to see a lot of people….. From every walk of life….from every economic group.

It doesn’t take long before I learn their exact financial situation. I learn it because I ask, and my prospects and clients are happy to share. They’re happy to share, because they know that they could be doing better, they should be doing better, but for whatever reason, they aren’t. And they believe that I’ve got the MAGIC PILL to make everything better.

Do you know who my favorite clients are? They’re the ones who realize that it’s up to them to LEARN what they need to be doing to GROW themselves to be more SUCCESSFUL in life. More importantly, once they’ve learned exactly what to do, THEY ACTUALLY DO IT!!!

During the process, I ask all of my client’s what their top 3 financial goals are. Stop what you’re doing right now, and take a moment to write down YOUR top 3 financial goals.

If you’re like most people, you’ll have a tough time coming up with 3.

Having asked this question to hundreds of people, l realize that few people have the goals, ambition, drive and desire that is necessary to achieve success.

Most people hope that things will turn out for them financially, but they don’t exactly know what to do for that to happen.

What’s sad is that since most people don’t know what to do, the majority of the time the end result is catastrophic!

For example, an Urban Institute analysis offers a sobering look at what can go awry with your retirement plans. It looked at people who were 51 to 61 years old in 1992. A decade later, over three quarters of them had lost their jobs, become widowed or divorced, developed new health problems, or were confronted with frail parents or in-laws. Any of those circumstances can take a bite out of retirement plans, if not force workers to scrap them altogether.

Most of these people are honest, hard working, caring individuals. Yet, they struggle financially their entire lives.

Is this where you’re headed?

Because if it is, you have the opportunity to begin to do something about it right now!

You have the opportunity to focus your attention on LEARNING the skills to reach financial freedom. Financial Freedom is a LEARNABLE PROCESS.

You’re ability to focus on LEARNING what you NEED to learn will determine if you win or lose the money game.

At the end of the day, how much you want something, how much DESIRE you have for something, will determine how much effort you’ll put into getting it. If it’s the RIGHT effort, and you are persistent, you will get it.

Just One Reason....

There is really only one reason for this blog. It’s to send out a BEACON, a very strong VIBRATION that resonates with the people I’m trying to reach. It’s almost like a BROADCASTING station. And I know that through the NATURAL LAW OF ATTRACTION, those who are ready will listen to the “music” coming from my “station” and be awakened and transformed to take their financial lives to a whole new level.

I’m here to tell you that my experience comes from THE FRONT LINES. It comes from years of sitting face to face with clients who have the exact same financial issues as you do!

Unlike all the financial “gurus” out there who dish out their knowledge like they’re the experts in every single area of finances (which they aren’t) I don’t earn my living selling courses and seminars and books. These “gurus” haven’t sat down face to face with a client for years, IF EVER!

No one has to tell me how most of us manage our money. No one has to tell me how most of us earn our money, spend our money, save our money (that’s a funny one!), invest our money, manage our credit, and how we think, feel and act towards money. No one has to tell me any of that, because I SEE IT EVERY DAY! In my office! Close and personal!

Only a handful of the prospects that come to see me are on a path that will lead them to financial freedom.

ONLY A HANDFUL!

Most are so far off course that they are headed to financial struggle their ENTIRE LIVES! Worse yet, many of them have their foot on the accelerator, and they’re headed right for the brick wall financially!

Why has this happened in the United States of America in 2008? In one of the wealthiest nation in the world, why do most of us end of struggling financially our whole lives?

Why do so few people ever achieve the “American Dream”?

Recently, I read an article that was titled “Fewer Americans Expect a Comfortable Retirement” by Dennis Jacobe, Chief Economist for the Gallup poll. It was loaded with statistics about the current attitudes of Americans. ALMOST 2 OUT OF EVERY 3 AMERICANS today are either “very worried” or “moderately worried” that they will not have enough money for retirement.

When I ask my clients when they think they’ll be able to be “financially free” (I hate the word retire) many respond that they honestly don’t know if they’ll EVER be at that point.

Others are so unrealistic that I can only guess they come from another planet that creates thousands of dollars of monthly cash flow out of thin air at the magical age of 65, and keeps coming for decades for as long as they live.

I am here to tell you beyond ANY shadow of a doubt, YOU, and you alone, will determine your financial life. Not the economy, not your boss, not your spouse, or your parents, or your friends, or your congressmen, or the fanatics in the Middle East. It’s not determined by your size, or your weight, or your looks, or your hair color, or your background, or your past either.

NOPE!

Those are all excuses for not succeeding.

Period.

End of story.

Life long learners who take their knowledge and USE IT IN THEIR LIVES are the winners EVERY SINGLE TIME.

These are the people who read constantly, who study, and learn and make the EFFORT to grow daily. These are the people who set a definite goal, a purpose for getting out of bed everyday, who have a burning passion for achieving their definite goal, who have a plan for turning their dream into reality, and are prepared to do WHATEVER IT TAKES FOR AS LONG AS IT TAKES to achieve their dreams.

Are you one of those people? Or are you like the 95% who either admit that they're not, or else pretend that they are, but when it comes time to walk the walk, they head for the sidelines?

You decide if you’re a player or a spectator. The spectators yell and cheer and scream all they want, and live vicariously through the players. It’s the players who are in the game that earn the big salaries and rewards.

The moment you become completely aware that you control your financial life, and that it’s up to you to figure out how to reach your financial goals and dreams is the moment your life takes on new meaning. You are no longer at the mercy of “outside” forces. You control your destiny.

I should have done more.....

How much time do you devote to growing yourself in your profession, your career, your business?

Last week I was in Detroit for the annual conference of Bank on Yourself advisors. It was an opportunity to spend time with some of the top advisors in the world, to network with them, to learn from them, to teach them, and to share experiences.

It’s easy to spot the top advisors. They all have specific habits that separate them from the rest of the group.

As each one took their turn training from the stage, they would discuss the route they took to achieve their success.

In every instance, it began with a passion so strong for what they were doing that it radiated out to every person. Their belief in what they did, and the positive impact their program has on clients who implement their strategy was a driving force that couldn’t be denied.

They have a SYSTEM for delivering a steady stream of qualified prospects to talk to.

They have a SYSTEM for converting their prospects into clients.

They have a SYSTEM for delivering massive value to their clients on an ongoing basis.

They all have a work ethic that places them in the top 5%, because to them, THIS ISN’T WORK, it’s a passion.

I returned from Detroit renewed with the drive and determination to continue to build my business and provide incredible value to my clients. I returned with a huge amount of new knowledge that can help my clients achieve their financial goals and dreams.

The time, money and effort I invested to go to Detroit was small in comparison to the benefits I’ve already got and will continue to get as a result of my efforts.

When I suggest to my clients that they allocate 10% of their income for their education, most of them look at me like I’m nuts! Let’s face it; most of us don’t invest a dime in our education once we graduate from school.

But if you ever want to become successful, if you ever want to become financially free, you’d better change your attitudes about education soon. Those who reach the top, who see the success, who create the freedom they want, are willing to work with the NATURAL LAWS OF SUCCESS. Learning how to THINK successfully, and then taking the actions to turn your plans into reality is where the life changing moments occur.

Although I’ve spent hundreds of thousands of dollars, and thousands of hours learning and studying the keys to success, I wished I’d have spent twice as much!

Financial freedom is a challenge few ever win. I consider myself one of the lucky ones for having climbed that mountain. Do you want that same freedom? Do you want to be able to have control of your life, and not be a slave to your job or business?

It all begins with the thoughts you place in your mind. It begins with your becoming aware that you are nothing more than the sum total of your thoughts.

If you want a different future than the life you have right now, you will have to begin to think DIFFERENTLY than the way you do right now. Are you willing to change? Are you willing to learn? Are you willing to go OUTSIDE YOUR COMFORT ZONE?

Of course, as you’ve read repeatedly here on my blog, the single most important thing you MUST be 100% clear about is…….WHAT DO YOU WANT IN LIFE WHEN IT COMES TO MONEY?

Do you want to struggle with money your whole life?

When do you want to be financially free? When you’re 40? 50? 60? 70? Ever?

How much monthly income will you need to be free? $2,000 a month? $3,000? $5,000? $10,000? $25,000? More?

How can you manage your income better?

How can you reduce your taxes now and in the future?

One thing I can tell you for sure, is that conventional wisdom is not the answer. If you do what everyone else does, you’ll get the same results as everybody else. As a financial consultant, I can verify from my own practice that we are facing a massive problem. The vast majority of baby boomers are ill equipped for retirement, and the generation after them are even worse prepared! Plus, some generation around the corner is eventually going to have to deal with the out of control problems of Social Security, Medicare, the national debt, etc.

It is entirely up to you to determine your financial fate! You and no one else but you. If you struggle, you are responsible for your struggle. You have no one else to blame for your struggles but yourself. Conversely, if you succeed, you will have caused your success. Regardless whatever else is going on in the world, it is still up to you to succeed!

Declare out loud that you are committed to your financial success. Declare out loud that you are prepared to LEARN. Declare out loud that you will take action every day to begin to move you towards your financial goals and dreams.

Is It the Quickest Way?

Almost 3 years ago I wrote in this blog about a system taught by my friend and mentor Harv Eker called SPEEDWEALTH. It’s a system designed to show ANYONE who has the true desire, EXACTLY how to create a MILLION DOLLAR BUSINESS in 3 years or less.

In a nutshell, the system is a checklist for the entrepreneur to follow.

After learning this system, I designed my business to follow the checklist that the system called for.

The results speak for themselves. The financial advisory practice I created has grown from the day I opened my business, to the point where I am among the top advisors in the nation in my area of expertise.

While I wanted to prove that the SPEEDWEALTH system worked, I also wanted to improve my entrepreneurial skills.

Why have I focused so much of my recent life to ENTREPRENEURSHIP?

First of all, it’s a passion of mine. I went to undergraduate school to get a degree in BUSINESS. I went to graduate school to get a MASTERS degree in BUSINESS. I got my CPA to understand the numbers and the taxes of business. I grew up in my family business. All of my other family members were in businesses.

Second, it is beyond a shadow of a doubt, the BEST AND FASTEST WAY to reach FINANCIAL FREEDOM.

Think about this for a second……

For every 100 new businesses that open their doors today, approximately 80 percent will fail in the first 3 years. Of the remaining 20 percent, 16 percent will have bought themselves a job, and ONLY 4 PERCENT will be creating wealth!

If you think those odds sound lousy, it’s A THOUSAND TIMES WORSE for the EMPLOYEE who gets paid a salary or by the hour or job.

Unless you are paid on performance or by results, you will struggle with money your entire life.

The problem is, virtually no one is creating FINANCIAL FREEDOM. The overwhelming majority of the public goes to work, gets a paycheck, and stays on the proverbial treadmill their whole lives.

BUT THAT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE YOU!!

I KNOW THIS TO BE A FACT!

HOW DO I KNOW THIS FACT?

My entrepreneurial philosophies are based on 2 of the greatest entrepreneurial minds I have ever known, Michael Gerber and Harv Eker. Their successes are legendary. Their knowledge is unquestioned. I see the big picture both of them paint, and understand their mindset when it comes to success as an entrepreneur.

Remember, Financial Freedom happens when you have enough PASSIVE income to pay for your desired lifestyle. If you create a business the way I’ll be teaching you how to create it, you will have all the choices on what to do with it. That means, if you want to sell it and take the cash you can. If you want to run it yourself and take the profits, you can. If you want to hire outside managers and have them run it, you can. If you want to take it public and get a bunch of shares, you can. The Incredible Power of Intention.....

If I could tell you just one thing that would make the biggest difference in your life, it would be to find someone extremely successful that you know and admire, and MODEL them. Figure out what it is that makes them so successful and follow their lead. Throughout my life, I have modeled the characteristics, habits, traits, tactics, systems, philosophies of those who have achieved uncommon success in areas of life that are important to me. It’s the sum total of all of these people and their characteristics that have molded me into who I am today.

This past weekend I went to San Diego to spend 2 ½ days with the brilliant Michael Gerber of E-Myth fame. I went for a number of reasons. First, simply to get to meet and learn with this giant in the area of entrepreneurship, my greatest passion. Second, to get very clear about how I wanted to take my business to another level. Third, to meet as many of the other participants and network with these like minded souls. Fourth, figure out if there was ANY way I could create a JV arrangement or alliance with Michael Gerber.

The event started on Friday, and just prior to the start I got an email from my good friend Harv Eker of Peak Potentials Training who is also a friend of Michael’s asking me to send his regards. Michael certainly knew Harv. Me, I was just another face in the crowd.

The event was exactly as advertised. Dream. What’s your Dream? What’s your vision? Your purpose? Your mission?

When you hear the words come out of Michael Gerber’s mouth, it just seems to mean more. When he emphasizes key concepts again, and again, and again, and again, it’s time to highlight them and circle them too!

I chose to pay the premium and get to be on Michael’s ‘HOT SEAT”. There were probably about a dozen of us out of the room of 45 who would get the experience of being on Michael Gerber’s HOT SEAT.

On Sunday morning, I still hadn’t had my turn on the HOT SEAT yet, and I was beginning to wonder what I had gotten myself into. Michael wasn’t pulling any punches and he was getting his points across to each of those who were brave enough to go through the process. I’ll bet those who were willing to step up and sit on the HOT SEAT got the most out of the weekend. But I knew I’d be called up at some point on Sunday, and I was just prepared to take it like a man.

Most disappointing was that I didn’t see any way to create an alliance or JV arrangement with Michael Gerber, and that was the highest aspiration I had going into the weekend. THAT WAS MY INTENTION.

All of a sudden, on Sunday morning, Michael introduces his ‘Chief Negotiator” Mark, who then makes a fantastic presentation and discusses the opportunity to become a ‘STRATEGIC PARTNER’ with Michael and his team. I’ve seen Mark throughout the event but never had a chance to talk with him at breaks or at meals.

Could this be the opportunity I was looking for? Could this be my lucky break? Could I actually become a “STRATEGIC PARTNER” with Michael Gerber? I was sure going to find Mark at the break and talk to him about it.

At the next break I immediately introduced myself to Mark and began to talk with him, but there were several others who also wanted to speak with him, and I wasn’t able to accomplish much.

After lunch, it was my turn to be on the stage with Michael. We began to discuss my dream, vision, purpose and mission. It was much more like a pleasant conversation than having Michael ripping me apart! Then Michael asked me to fill in the blanks, my background, education, prior work experience, what I was currently doing. I spoke about my passion for financial freedom and personal growth. I spoke about my belief in entrepreneurship as the greatest vehicle to financial freedom. I spoke about the incredible need for education in the areas of money and success. I spoke about the sleeping passions inside of all of us that just need to be woken up.

Afterwards, Mark came over to me and said that they’d like to explore a strategic partnership with me! Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to go into further details other than….”I’ll be in touch with you Jeff”, so until the details have been confirmed, it’s something brewing.

Regardless, my intention was to make something happen while I was at this seminar with Michael Gerber. He had never met me before. He knew absolutely nothing about me. There was no reason to believe that of all the people he has to choose from he would even consider me. But I was determined to see if it could happen, and believed that if it could happen it would happen. And IT DID!

Being a STRATEGIC PARTNER with Michael Gerber, would be a life transforming experience. My ideas and philosophies are in complete alignment with Michael’s. My desire to have a major impact on the financial lives of millions of people can be fulfilled with Michael Gerber as my STRATEGIC PARTNER. It's Exciting!

For almost 3 years now, I’ve been posting to this blog. It is something I do with passion, because I truly believe in the depths of my soul that the information here can transform people’s lives.

I believe it because everything I write about I live.

I believe it because at the age of 54, I have accomplished more, accumulated more, experienced more, journeyed more than just about anyone else I’ve ever known. I am free to take my life in any direction and to pursue any dream I want.

I believe it because the people I learned from are the most brilliant minds I can find on the face of this planet.

I believe it because every single day I have people in my office, or on the phone, or via email that thank me for inspiring them to improve some area of their lives.

I believe it because every time I meet with a client, their financial lives have improved.

Over the past 18 months of being in business for myself, it has been my objective to

And over the past 18 months, I’ve done it all. Using a very effective marketing system, I see as many prospects as I care to. If I want to see more, it’s easy to ramp up the system to add more, or, when too many are coming at once, slow it down.

I began covering my costs after the first 90 days, and have never looked back. The growth of the business has been exponential. I earned more in my first year of being in business for myself than in any other year of my life. By far!

Most importantly, I’ve met hundreds of people who have opened up their financial lives to me, and shared exactly where they stand today.

How good are you at receiving?

Every time you dive into the workings of your mind, and you plant seeds of nourishment with high quality information, you grow and improve as a person. As you begin to understand the value of learning, you will find yourself overwhelmed with what you realize you don’t know but need to.

Equally important, is to UNLEARN many things that you currently hold as true but in reality aren’t.

We all work the same way. We all have a conditioned mind. Our conditioned mind was built upon the things we heard, we saw and we experienced, especially as kids. And even though today you’ve long forgotten the incident or situation or what was said, it’s all there in your memory banks of your mind.

Today, we want to pull out your file when it comes to receiving. How good are you at receiving? Do you think it’s important to be a good receiver? Do you think you can acquire wealth without becoming a good receiver? Let’s really look at your attitudes about receiving, because if you have a negative attitude about this area, you will struggle with money your whole life.

Rich people are excellent receivers.
Poor people are poor receivers.

Week in and week out, I see many clients and prospects at my office. Without a doubt, the single most glaring weakness most people possess that stops them from reaching their full financial potential is the fact that they are lousy receivers. They may or may not be good on the giving side, but they are absolutely terrible on the receiving side. Since they are lousy at receiving, they don’t.

Why would people be such lousy receivers?

Primarily because of our conditioning!

Most people have feelings of being UNWORTHY.

Think about it. For most people, we hear many more no’s than yes’s…

We hear many more “do it again” than “great job”…

As a result, poor people simply don’t feel worthy of receiving.

Others place so much pressure on themselves to be perfect (which of course they can never be) that when they can’t live up to those standards, they feel unworthy.


The fact is that you are as worthy as anyone else. So stop buying into any of the “worthiness” or “unworthiness” crap and focus on taking the actions you need to get rich!

Another reason that people are lousy receivers is because of the old adage “it’s better to give than receive”.

Of course, this is also a bunch of bull. For every giver, there must be a receiver. For every receiver, there must be a giver.

When you want to give someone a gift, and they won’t accept it, how does that make you feel? You feel ripped off, because you wanted to give and you couldn’t.

If you continue to try to give a gift to someone and they always refuse to accept it, how long do you think it will take before you don’t offer it to them anymore? No one else will either. They’ve conditioned the Universe not to give to them.

If you aren’t willing to receive your share, it’ll go to someone else who is. Rich people are rich because they are willing to receive while most people are not.

The really wealthy and successful people I know all work hard and believe that it is perfectly appropriate for them to be paid for their work and the value they deliver. Poor people don’t.

What do you think? Because if you don’t believe that you should be rewarded for the value you deliver, you will never be rich. You MUST become an excellent receiver….WITHOUT ANY GUILT.

Are You Bigger Than Your Problems?

Anyone who has read through the past 8 postings about their WEALTH FILES will testify that this review is worth A MILLION TIMES the time and energy invested in it.

Your WEALTH FILES determine your FINANCIAL FUTURE! They determine if you will find the ways to achieve your financial dreams, or if you will be like most everybody else, the other 95%ers who struggle and worry about money every day of their lives.

The goal should be to become FREE! When you win the money game, you are FREE to DO whatever you truly want in life. At the age of 54, I am truly a blessed person to be able to live life on my terms. It didn’t happen overnight, and it didn’t happen by accident.

It’s the end result of living these philosophies and creating MY OWN WEALTH FILES for over the past 39 years. It’s the result of studying the greatest minds in the areas of money and success, and applying them in my life. It’s the result of many, many failures, and many disappointments along the way.

The next WEALTH FILE we are going to look at is one that is the CORE of my philosophy of success. It is so vital you understand this that I want you to promise yourself that you will read this over at least one more time, so that you truly grasp this concept and adopt it as a PERMANENT part of your WEALTH FILES.

Rich people are bigger than their problems.
Poor people are smaller than their problems.

Rarely is success easy. If it was, we’d all be successful all the time. We’d all be rich! We’d all be happy! But the fact is, the reverse is true.

Here we are living at the wealthiest time in the history of the world, in the wealthiest nation in the world, but most everybody is struggling! In fact, from what I see daily in my practice, most people are struggling big time!

Getting rich isn’t easy. It isn’t a piece of cake. It requires a lot of time and energy (at least at first), and there are a million challenges that must be met and overcome.

Most people don’t want to put themselves through that. They don’t want the headaches, they don’t want the hassles, and they don’t want the problems.

That creates an even bigger problem because poor people are smaller than their problems, and they aren’t GROWING so that they can become BIGGER than their problems. And until they GROW big enough to take on bigger problems, they can never get rich.

Rich people on the other hand, take on challenges with zest and enthusiasm. Their attitude is “Bring it on”. They know that there is a solution to every problem, and that they will find a way to continue to move forward. Rich people take on bigger and bigger challenges constantly, and continue to grow with the experience and confidence that comes from taking action. The bigger the challenges you take on, the richer you will become.

Poor people will do virtually anything to avoid problems. The irony in that is that they end up with one of the biggest problems of all, they’re BROKE! The key is not to shrink from your problems, but rather to prepare yourself and grow yourself BIGGER than your problems.

Everybody has problems. Rich people and poor people have them. There is no way to avoid them. If you’re breathing, you’ll have them. The size of the problem is never the issue. The issue is ALWAYS the size of YOU!

This is the KEY! In life, your success will always be about YOU! Believe it or not, you control your life. Not your parents, not your spouse, or your kids, or your boss, or anyone else. You are responsible for your life and your success, your finances and your happiness. If you don’t believe this, you are DOOMED. You have to believe that you are capable of GROWING yourself into a HUGE SUCCESS. It’s all up to you.

What’s currently in your wealth file? Are you bigger than your problems? Are you smaller? Until you can fill your WEALTH FILES with BELIEFS that you are someone who is capable of learning and growing, you won’t see the kinds of success we’re talking about here.

Another Quarter Almost In the Books...

Can you believe it? Here we are at the end of March and the first quarter of 2008.

How’s it been for you so far?

Have you accomplished any goals?

Are you moving forward in your life?

For me, it seems like life is moving faster than the speed of light.

The one thing I’ve gained an appreciation for as I age is how precious time is, and how much of it we all waste.

The first quarter of 2008 has been totally phenomenal so far.

My primary goal was to attract dozens of new clients, and I am among the top advisors in the country.

But I wanted to start a major new project, and I am well on my way to introducing my new web site.

By far, it’s the most fun, challenging and exciting project I’ve ever undertaken, and I know that the end result will be a site that will transform the lives of many people.

More importantly, I’m building a team of clients who all want to grow to their full financial potential and who are assisting me in this project. There is no doubt in my mind that we will grow it into something extraordinary over the next 2 to 3 years. You’ll be hearing much more about this new web site in the very near future.

Over the past almost 40 years, since I was 15 and first read THINK AND GROW RICH by Napoleon Hill, I have been developing a SYSTEM to automatically create success in every important area of life, especially financially. It was only a couple of years ago that I finally found the “MISSING PIECE” that completed the system.

Today, I meet with clients daily to assist, council and coach them to reach their full financial potential. I employ all the parts of my system.

Soon, I’ll be able to offer this system to anyone, anywhere in the world. For me, that’s very exciting.

You can decide that you’re going to begin to take action too, and make the rest of 2008 extraordinary for you too. It’s as simple as making up your mind, setting a goal, putting together a plan, surrounding yourself with the right people, and going to work until you get what you want.

There aren’t any shortcuts to success. You can take the quickest routes by learning from the best, but at the end of the day, you have to think for yourself, and you have to do for yourself, because you are 100% responsible for yourself.

There has never been a better time in the history of mankind for you to create financial freedom for yourself. If you aren’t creating it is it because you don’t care, is it because you didn’t think you could, or is it because you don’t know what to do?

If you don’t care, then there isn’t anything anyone can do to help you. You will always struggle with money.

If you don’t think you can create freedom, all that means is that you’ll have to work on your mindset.

If you don’t know what to do, all that means is that there’s still something you don’t know. You need to find the “MISSING PIECE”.

Will You be Able to Climb High Enough?

Most people are wimps! They think small! They think fear! And as a result of their thinking, they struggle their whole lives.

This blog is dedicated to the top 5%, the people who have COMMITTED to taking complete control of their life and succeed at whatever they choose to do for themselves.

Once you realize that YOU are completely RESPONSIBLE for YOUR own life, YOU can begin to do something about it. YOU can think whatever you choose to, but the simple fact is YOU control your thoughts, your feelings, your income, your happiness, your relationships, well…..practically everything.

Today, people are blaming the economy for all their problems. The fact is, there will always be reasons for failure. That’s why only the top 5% are really successful. It’s so much easier to fail. Successful people overcome EVERYTHING. They don’t accept any excuse, they push on in spite of all odds.

In his best selling book THINK AND GROW RICH, Napoleon Hill laid out his philosophy of success and the principles that made it up. He demonstrated that regardless what someone’s original surroundings were, whether they grew up rich or poor, had education or not, had physical handicaps or other challenges, EVERYBODY has the seed of potential greatness within them if they can find a way to wake it from its slumber and raise its desire to a passion.

One of the greatest frustrations I see with my clients is in their approach to money and success. I can predict with certainty that the vast majority of people I meet with will all be struggling with money their entire lifetimes if they don’t get off the road they're on and get on one that can take them to freedom!

The problem that most people don’t realize, or else they don’t seem to know what to do about is that they will NEVER reach freedom from a JOB! If you BELIEVE that your best path to financial freedom is through a JOB, I hope you’re paid based on performance and results. But if you have a salary, or get paid by the hour, you have a CEILING on your income. Except for a bonus or a small raise, you can predict what your income will be.

WEALTH RULE #1. NO CEILING ON YOUR INCOME!!!

There are millions of roads you can hop on over your lifetime. Unfortunately only a very few of them lead you to freedom. Most of them take you down roads of struggle. Even worse, those roads are like parking lots from all the traffic congestion. What’s really great is that the roads that lead to freedom have very little traffic. That’s because few people take the time to find out about them.

As you grow yourself and your skills you climb higher up the mountain of success. And the higher you climb, the easier it is to spot the roads that lead to freedom from the roads that lead to struggle.

The roads to success are already there. The trailblazers who carved these roads may be long gone, but their directions are there if you want them. And the higher you climb up the mountain, the more of them you can identify.

All you have to do then is find the road that suits you best, and off you go.

Are you on a road that can take you to your financial freedom? If you aren’t, are you planning on doing anything about it? If you really want success, take control of your life, take control of your mind, and decide right now that you will COMMIT to getting on a road that will lead you to your success, however you define it!

Most important, stop reading, stop planning, and START DOING!! Get in the game, and give it all you’ve got.

Remember that when you read, you’re on the sidelines watching the game. It’s a passive activity. When you take action, when you start doing, you’re in the game. It’s an ACTION activity. We want to develop the habit of getting in the game. That’s where it’s won or lost. Not on the sidelines.

Believe that you are awakening the GIANT WITHIN YOU, as Tony Robbins likes to say. Because you truly have a giant within you, a force so incredible that if you ever unleashed it, you would be in for the ride of your life.

Climb high my friend, and spot those roads to success. You can only get high enough to spot them through constant improvement, personal development, and a COMMITMENT to your reaching your full potential.

Here’s a huge block for many, a gigantic wall most people can never get past. Here’s a WEALTH FILE that you will need to make sure is filled with BELIEFS that are positive and empowering.

These reviews of your WEALTH FILES are based on the book “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind” by my friend and mentor Harv Eker. And although they are only a piece of the puzzle in winning the money game, they are a part of your foundation that is perhaps the most critical to your success, because we’re talking about your BELIEFS.

If one of your goals in life is financial freedom, you MUST have BELIEFS that are supportive towards achieving the goal. You will take action based on your BELIEFS, or NOT take action based on your BELIEFS, so you better be sure that you’ve programmed yourself for success.

Would you like to know what you are currently programmed for in the area of money?

Look at your results. Look at your life. Look at your income. Look at your assets. Look at your net worth. That’s exactly what you’re currently programmed for.

Rich people are willing to promote themselves and their value.
Poor people think negatively about selling and promotion.

When I running Peak Potentials Training, we offered an amazing 3 day seminar called the Millionaire Mind Intensive. It’s one of over a dozen programs that Peak Potentials provides. During the event we’d offer “at seminar” specials for various other programs. Most attendees were thrilled to know about these offers and took full advantage of them, but there would always be a few that resented any promotion, even if it was for their benefit.

Is that you? I hope not.

Resenting promotion is one of the greatest obstacles to success. If you have a problem with selling and promotion, chances are, you’re broke. If you’re in business for yourself or you sell for others, how are people going to know what you’ve got to offer if you don’t promote it? If you’re an employee, you have to promote your virtues, or else someone who does will pass you by.
There are several reasons why some people have a problem with promotion and sales.

Have you ever been hounded by the “high pressure” salesman? Most people have. And most people don’t like to be “pressured”, so most people have a negative attitude about sales people in general. The fact is most people LIKE TO BUY, they just don’t like to be sold. It’s all in how you present it.

Maybe you tried your hand at sales once and you got totally rejected. At least, that’s how it felt. Of course, that’s what you’ve stored in your WEALTH FILE. You now have a fear of failure and rejection based on your past experience. Remember, the past does not necessarily equal the future.

Many of us were raised not to brag. In the business world however, if you don’t toot your own horn, who’s going to do it for you? No one! A wealthy person is willing to promote their value to everyone and anyone who is willing to listen, and hopefully do business with them.

Then, there are those that believe that sales and marketing is “beneath” them. They’re so good, people should just naturally want to use their services or products without having to promote them at all. Unfortunately, you’ll go broke believing that everyone will just find you.

In almost every instant, rich people are excellent promoters. They are willing to promote their values constantly with enthusiasm and passion. They also have the ability to present their value in an attractive package that makes it all the more appealing. In my lifetime, I’ve seen some of the best, and without a doubt, Harv Eker is the greatest promoter I have ever seen. He knows exactly what he writes about.

There are 2 kinds of people in the world, leaders and followers. Which group do you think earns more money? Rich people are usually leaders. Leaders have to successfully promote themselves and their ideas to their followers and supporters. If they don’t, they won’t lead for long. But you can be sure that leaders earn a lot more than followers.

It doesn’t even matter if you even like to promote or not, it’s more about why you’re promoting. If you don’t believe that the value you have to offer won’t help others improve their lives or solve their problems, you will have a difficult time promoting. But if you BELIEVE that the value you are offering will have a major impact on your customers and clients, you will have a passion to share this knowledge with as many people as you can.

If you aren’t completely sold on the value you are providing to others, it’s time to evaluate whether you should find something else to promote that you can be passionate about. Your WEALTH FILES must be filled with BELIEFS of the TRUE VALUE you are providing. To acquire riches, you will have to provide something in return for the wealth you are receiving. Make sure it’s something you can promote with passion and enthusiasm.

Birds of a Feather.....

There are ways of thinking that can actually TURBOCHARGE your journey to success. It’s a philosophy that includes understanding the fine line between success and failure. It’s the difference between water at 211 degrees and 212 degrees. At 211 it’s still water, and at 212 it’s steam and boiling. Just one degree more!

We’ve already reviewed the first 6 of Harv Eker’s WEALTH FILES that he presents in his best selling book "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind".It’s time to get back into this review, because there are many more files inside your mind you need to review and adjust. Until you have added the positive philosophical attitudes and eliminated your negative ingrained attitudes, you will always struggle financially.

Let’s take at look at ….

WEALTH FILE #7

Rich People associate with positive, successful people.
Poor people associate with negative or unsuccessful people.

Keep your WEALTH FILES open, so that you can continue to examine what’s currently STORED in them. Chances are, you’ve had your current beliefs stored there for a very long time, and haven’t really evaluated whether or not they are what you believe today.

Let’s hear it for successful people. They are an inspiration and proof positive that success is possible. If they can do it, so can you!

At the age of 15 I learned a lesson so valuable that it changed my life forever. I learned that to become really good at something, learn from someone who is ALREADY really good at it. In fact, I was taught that the BEST people to learn from are those who are already very good at what you want to be.

The word I was taught was to MODEL. I was taught to MODEL the THINKING and ACTIONS of people who were already successful at what I wanted to be successful at.

Over the past 39 years of following that philosophy, I know first hand how true this concept of MODELING is. If you model the most successful people you know in the areas of their success, if you learn to think the way that they do, and you learn to act the way they do, you will have success the same way they do. I have lived my entire adult life with this philosophy, and it’s worked magic for me.

If you want to be rich, model rich and successful people. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel.

Poor people will be the first to put you down if you try and grow and reach for success. Rather than inspire you, motivate you and support you, most poor people will laugh at you and shake their heads.

That’s why I always make it a point to seek out positive minded, successful people. If we’re all going to have friends anyway, we might as well have friends that are supportive, successful, caring, inspiring and motivating.

Energy is contagious. You either affect people or you infect them, and that’s also true of others towards you. Would you want to hug someone who has measles? A negative mind is like the brain having measles. Who wants to be near it??

Ever heard the expression…”Birds of a feather flock together”? Rich and successful people tend to surround themselves with other rich and successful people. As you begin to surround yourself with like minded people, you will see your life elevate to another level.

So, what does your current WEALTH FILE say? Are you associating with positive, successful people, or with negative or unsuccessful people? Think it makes a difference?

If You Really Wanted.......

When you were an infant, you couldn’t even crawl. As you got to be a few months old, the crawling began. It wasn’t easy at first, but after a while, you got the hang of it, an off you went.

Then, you graduated to standing up! Whoa, that was a hard one. Walking was even tougher. Every time you stood up, you fell down. But, you kept on standing up until eventually you LEARNED how to walk.

Maybe as a kid, you decided you wanted to play the piano. So your parents signed you up for lessons, and you began to LEARN how to play. If you liked it, and you liked your teacher, you would continue to practice and play until you got good enough to play in front of an audience. From there on, if you continued to LEARN and practice, you simply got better and better.

Success in achieving ANY worthwhile goal is achievable. You do NOT have to be some brilliant genius to succeed. You just need to LEARN the WINNING FORMULA and follow it.

As I continue to study and analyze the most successful people in the world, the blueprint they leave behind shows us all the way to achieve their same level of success. Since I am a true believer of entrepreneurship, and how anyone can LEARN how to become a successful entrepreneur, I have focused many years learning and studying these people and their blueprints.

I know these formulas’s work, because I have applied them in my life to achieve everything I ever really wanted, and I know that if you were to LEARN and apply them as well, you would begin to see the same results.

The paths to financial freedom are few. There are millions more paths that will lead you to nowhere compared to the few paths that actually do lead you to success. Most people spend their lifetime going down a path that leads them to struggle. Unfortunately, that’s the only place their path leads them to. They have no chance for financial freedom unless they win the lottery or inherit a bunch of money, and my guess is, they’d blow it if they ever got it.

Do you want financial freedom? Do you want it sooner than later?

If you answered yes, what exactly are you doing to make that a reality in your life?

I would suggest to you that if you decided right now that over the next 36 months you WILL BECOME a successful entrepreneur, and began to LEARN the “winning formula”, you’d be AMAZED by what you could accomplish in just 36 months.

What else can you do in the next 36 months to move your towards you goal of financial freedom that will position you for success better than this???

Most people either have a job (Just Over Broke) or they say they’ve got a business when in fact all they’ve really done is bought themselves a job. That isn’t what WE want to do!

Our intention is to create freedom. It’s to create wealth. And while many people say that’s what they want, only a small percentage has the “winning formula” that can take them to their dreams.

If you really wanted to become financially free, you’d be doing everything you could to LEARN how to make that a reality. Are you? If you aren’t, why aren’t you?

Before you enter the game, you need to study and LEARN and practice and prepare yourself for your chance. Otherwise, you’ll fall flat on your face. We want to make sure you’re doing the right things and creating the right mindset for success.

Success is a journey, not a destination. Steady and consistent gets it done. Let’s make sure your life is filled with exciting opportunities that can take you exactly where you want to go.

The Never Ending Process....

The next few minutes will be a reminder of something you already know, but probably don’t think about often enough. This time, as you think about it, you’ll want to open up your BELIEFS and put “HIGH PRIORITY” on this one.

On a daily basis, I see people looking for answers. They’re looking for answers to all of their financial problems. They’re looking for the magic pill. They’re looking for the instant fix. They’re looking for something that doesn’t exist. Worst off, they’re looking in all of the wrong places.

Let’s get back to the basics.

2 people go to a seminar. One of them takes the information and skyrockets to success. For the other, nothing much happens. How does this happen? Why do so many people fail after spending thousands of dollars at seminars learning how to do something?

The answer is primarily found in the fact that the information is only a TOOL. It is only of use if you actually DO something with it. It is only as valuable AS THE PERSON WHO IS IN POSESSION OF IT.

Before you can be successful in the “outer” world, you must first be successful in the “inner” world. Before you can achieve great success in anything, you will have to GROW YOURSELF INTO SOMEONE CAPABLE OF ACHIEVING GREAT SUCCESS.

Success is an INSIDE game. It’s LEARNABLE, and within anyone’s control.

Notice the word LEARNABLE. It’s critical you think about this for a second. Success isn’t one huge step; it’s thousands of little steps. Many of these steps can be done with no new skills or knowledge. But some will require new knowledge or skills. You might choose to hire someone to fill in your weaknesses. You might choose to learn new skills to fill in some of the critical steps. To be successful, you will be learning and improving constantly.

Education and acquiring the RIGHT information is critical to your success in life. If you don’t have a great ZEST for knowledge, you will not only have a difficult time becoming financially successful, you’ll be missing out on one of the greatest passions of life.

I’ve been studying this field for 39 years, ever since I was 15. Over that time, I’ve read many books and listened to many audio programs and gone to many seminars that led me down a road to nowhere. At least it went nowhere I wanted to go.

I’ve also read many books and listened to many audio programs and gone to many seminars that led me to financial freedom and the greatest life I could have ever hoped for.

Over my lifetime, I’ve probably invested more money in my formal education and personal development education that 99% of all the people I know. Was it worth it?

If I had to do it over again, I’d have invested TWICE AS MUCH! Education is so important to success that I can’t believe how few people continue to educate themselves after they’re out of school.

I wanted to be FINANCIALLY FREE. I wanted to BE MY OWN BOSS. I wanted to control my own time and my own efforts. It isn’t completely by luck that I am.

Do you want to be financially free one day? Do you want to be able to control your life and call your own shots?

If you answered yes, you have to make sure that you make a commitment to investing in your education in the areas that will help you become financially free.

Maybe that’ll be a course at a community college. More often, it may mean buying some books, or audio programs, or attending seminars. It might even mean investing in a coach.

One thing is certain, if you think education is expensive, try ignorance!

Do you want to play big or small? Do you want to play to win or not to lose? People who succeed, who play BIG, and play to WIN, invest in education constantly. You’re either growing or your dying.

EDUCATION IS THE KEY. Commit to your education. Commit time for your education. Commit money for your education. Commit energy for your education. If you’re looking to grow and succeed in your career and life, this is your golden opportunity to learn from masters, maybe THE masters.

Negative attitudes and negative beliefs, where do they come from?

This wealth file is one that is CRITICAL to your future financial success. So let’s get your current file out there on the table for you to examine close up and personal. Let’s be SURE that this file contains your BELIEFS TODAY, not what you were taught ages ago!

Did you ever hear anything negative about money, success or rich people when you were growing up?

If you ever heard things like…..”Money is the root of all evil”

Or……..”Rich people are crooks”

Or……..”Wonder who he stepped on to get there”

Or…….???

We’ve all heard it growing up. And if we heard it from someone more senior to us, like our parents, our teachers, the media, our religious leaders, it automatically got stored in our WEALTH FILES as THE TRUTH!!

If we believe that wealthy people are “crooks”, and most of us want to be moral and ethical people, we CAN’T get rich! It violates the beliefs inside our current WEALTH FILE. On the one hand, we want financial success, but at the same time, in the same file, we believe that “money is the root of all evil”, right? Mixed messages to yourself and the Universe.

In my 54 years, I’ve met more people than most. I see clients daily to discuss their finances and direct them towards new and better options. The point I am trying to make here is that I meet LOTS AND LOTS of people daily, who lay out their entire financial lives before me and say, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I see retired, professionals, doctors, lawyers, executives, business owners, entrepreneurs, employees. I see young and old, male and female, singles and couples, rich and broke, I see them all.

I’ve met poor people who were rude and ignorant, and rich people who were rude and ignorant. I’ve met poor people who were as nice as could be, and rich people who were as nice as could be.

Here’s the FACT. Money doesn’t make you greedy or generous. Money just makes you MORE of what you already are. If you’re an SOB when you’re poor, you’ll just be a bigger SOB when you’re rich.

In the mid 90’s I ran a large United Way funded Agency in Phoenix. My most critical objective was to successfully raise funds to keep all the programs open. My Board of Directors was made up of many of the most successful partners from the law firms, accounting firms, insurance firms, and other business owners in town.

These people were the saviors for the agency. Their generosity of BOTH time AND money, and getting their network of friends and associates to contribute was what kept us going. The rest gave as they could, but it was the rich and successful that made all the difference.

It was interesting to see the characteristics that these wealthy and successful people all had in common. They were all TRUSTWORTHY, and I knew I could count on them. They were also, positive, reliable, focused, determined, persistent, hardworking, energetic, good with people, decent communicator, somewhat intelligent, and a master in at least one area.

Too many people believe that you can’t be rich and a good person or rich and spiritual. I’ve seen too many of both rich and nice and rich and spiritual people to know that you ABSOLUTELY can be BOTH at the same time.

Successful people have blazed the trail for you to follow. They’ve proven that success is possible. They are an inspiration. We should all be grateful to successful people because they are PROOF that success can be attained.

Resenting the rich is one of the surest ways to stay broke. If you truly want financial success in your life, you need to create the HABIT of admiring successful people. That way, when you reach your success, you’ll unconsciously know that others will admire you rather than resent the heck out of you.

If you resent what people have, in any way, shape or form, you can never have it.

In the ancient Huna wisdom, which are the original teachings of the Hawaiian elders, it is taught “Bless that which you want.”

Take a long hard look at your current WEALTH FILE. Understand that you can be a kind, generous, spiritual person and still get really, really rich. Get clear in your BELIEFS that there aren’t any negatives about wealth and success unless you choose there to be negatives.

Now, place a hand on your chest and say….

I ADMIRE RICH PEOPLE!
I BLESS RICH PEOPLE
I STUDY RICH PEOPLE!
AND I'M GOING TO BE ONE OF THOSE RICH PEOPLE TOO!

Do you see opportunities or obstacles?

After having seen hundreds of clients and prospects and comparing notes with my partner Scott who has seen many hundred more than I have, I have come to the following conclusions.

First, what I've been referring to as the 5%ers club is more like the 1%ers club! So few people are winning the money game that it's scary!

Second, most people are horrendous money managers. Since this is the single most important skill all wealthy people have, you'd hope that people would have a winning system for managing their money. Unfortunately, most don't.

Third, while everyone says they'd like to become financially free, NO ONE is actually doing anything to make it happen. And the few that are doing something are doing it all wrong, or half hearted, or going down a path that can never lead them to financial freedom.

Fourth, virtually no one understands that until they create enough PASSIVE INCOME to pay for their expenses that they will ALWAYS BE A SLAVE TO THEIR JOBS. Yet, most people have NO current passive income, nor are they creating streams of passive income. They are on the road that leads to nowhere.

I could go on and on.

If you are reading these words, take a moment and understand that there are winning ways of thinking and then there are all the rest. If you have made up your mind that you want to take your life, and especially your financial life to a whole new level, TRUST me when I tell you that everything you read here has worked in my life and can for you too. Nothing is difficult to do, it simply means you will need to change a few things. And we all know how difficult change can be!

One of your biggest challenges is to get into your WEALTH FILES and discover what your true beliefs are in these critical areas. It might be time for you to revise or update these files.

WEALTH FILE #5

Rich People focus on opportunities.
Poor people focus on obstacles.

FEAR! It’s amazing how POWERFUL fear plays into our lives. To some extent, all of us are affected by fear, some more than others.

The important question as far as you’re concerned is “how much is fear affecting my life, my wealth, my success?”

If your basic nature is fear based, and you are someone who constantly worries, now is the perfect opportunity to get it out on the table for you to evaluate and perhaps change.

When it comes to the mind, we all have our own “conditioned” mind. Our “conditioned” mind has one primary job, and that’s SURVIVAL. It DOESN’T care at all about your success, only your survival. Throughout your entire lifetime, it just wants you to survive. It would rather you not even try to change because change is the unknown, and there lurks DANGER in the unknown.

If you’re not sure what I’m referring to here, I’m talking about that little voice that’s having a conversation with you all day long. It’s the little voice that says “You can’t do that”, or “you better not try that”, or “what if”, or “why bother”, or practically anything that will dissuade you from doing something you normally don’t do.

It wants to keep you in “your comfort zone”. As long as you stay in “your comfort zone”, your conditioned mind is content, because it knows you are already surviving in “your comfort zone.”

Change, however, requires moving out of your comfort zone and trying something different. It means moving into your “uncomfort zone.” And for you to grow, you have to move outside of your “comfort zone”, which doesn’t make your conditioned mind happy at all.

Ask most people the definition of FEAR and they’ll say false evidence appearing real. But that’s just an acronym. FEAR is THE ANTICIPATION OF PAIN. Is fear based in the past, or in the future? The future. And your conditioned mind will anticipate future imagined pain, and then do everything in its power to move you in another direction. IT WILL STOP YOU IN YOUR TRACKS IF YOU LET IT!

Most people live in fear. They expect the worst and plan for it. They look to the obstacles in every new opportunity so that they won’t have to get out of their comfort zone. As a result, most people ARE POOR!!

Wealthy people have overcome their fears. They might still have fears, but they’ve learned how to deal with their fears and TAKE ACTION REGARDLESS what that “little voice” in their head is saying to them.

As a result, wealthy people look for the opportunities surrounding them every day. They focus on the potential profits. The poor? They focus on the potential losses.

The middle class have a little more optimistic point of view. They are more inclined to think….”I’ll give it a try and hope it works.”

Rich people take full responsibility for their lives. Their attitude is “It’ll work because I’LL make it work!” Their WEALTH FILE is filled with CONFIDENCE, that they WILL succeed, and if things don’t work out, they’ll be able to RECOVER.

There is always a risk to get the reward. Rich people are willing to take risk. But they do their homework in advance, and once they have all the facts, they choose to take action or not.

On the other hand, poor people expect to fail, and have little confidence in themselves or their abilities. As a result, all they see are the obstacles they don’t believe they can overcome, and they won’t take the risk. No risk, no reward.

The Law of Attraction includes focusing on what you want in your life. Rich people focus on opportunities, and as a result, opportunities abound. Poor people focus on the obstacles in their life, and as a result, obstacles abound.

Your view of life will determine what you find. Look for opportunities and that’s what you’ll find. Look for obstacles, and that’s what you’ll find. As far as rich people are concerned, when they run into obstacles they deal with them and then keep moving forward, always focused on their goal, and putting their energies into achieving their results.

I tell my clients this all the time. Rich and successful people focus on 3 things when it comes to money. They focus on earning it, keeping it and growing it. Poor people focus on just one thing, spending it! What we focus on expands!

Rich and successful people also understand that they can’t wait until they are experts to make decisions and move forward. They gather the best information they can as quickly as they can, they make a decision and go. Their WEALTH FILE is set for READY, FIRE, AIM. In other words, take ACTION and make corrections along the way.

There is no way for anyone to know everything that can happen in the future. It’s unrealistic to think you can anticipate and solve every single potential problem in advance. In life, we can only see so far into the future.

Jack Canfield (from Chicken Soup for the Soul fame) uses the example of driving a car at night from Los Angeles to New York. With your lights on you can only see a few hundred feet ahead of you. Once you get there, you can see the next few hundred feet. As long as you’re on the right highway, you can drive all the way from Los Angeles to New York in the dark, seeing just a few hundred feet ahead of you at any one time.

Life is a lot like that. Rich and successful people know that when they get to the next turn in the road, they’ll deal with whatever comes up. More importantly, they’re on the road and they’re moving forward. Getting on the road is critical. Poor people stay home so they can avoid any accidents.

Harv Eker calls it “getting in the corridor. The idea is to get in the game with whatever you’ve got from wherever you are.”

For example, when I chose to become a full time entrepreneur and leave Corporate America, I realized that I didn’t have the necessary skills to be successful. In fact, every business I’d ever tried crashed and burned, and so did all my money with it each time. I knew that I needed specific skills before I’d succeed. In my search I accidentally bumped into my old friend Harv Eker, and then spent the next year as Harv’s Chief Operating Officer helping build Peak Potentials Training into one of the fastest growing business and personal success training companies in the world.

More importantly, I got to work with one of the world’s MOST BRILLIANT marketers and entrepreneurs, and see first hand exactly what it takes to build a MEGAMILLION dollar business from scratch in a short period of time.

When my project was up and it was time to move back home to Phoenix, I was completely prepared to start my own business. I’d seen what I needed to see, and learned what I needed to learn.

The BIGGER you think....

It's time to open up your mind, and pull out your WEALTH FILES again.

This habit of constantly examining your WEALTH FILES is critical if you really want to reach your full financial potential.

Why?

Because inside your files are beliefs that are both supportive and NONSUPPORTIVE to your dreams of financial success. Until you are 100% ON BOARD with your desires and BELIEFS about creating financial success in your life, you will struggle.

Let's examine another of Harv Eker's wealth files. Are you on board with this, or is it time to rethink your current beliefs?

WEALTH FILE #4

Rich People think big.
Poor people think small.


In business, there is a mathematical formula for determining what your income is going to be. You will be paid in direct proportion to the VALUE you DELIVER to the Marketplace.

This implies that whatever you are offering has value to others. In return for the value that you deliver, you will be paid accordingly.

It makes sense then that for you to earn a lot of money, you will need to DELIVER A LOT OF VALUE TO THE MARKETPLACE.

If you want massive results, you will have to deliver massive value. That’s how it works.

When Harv decided to get into the home gym business, his intention was to open up 100 stores and create wealth. His competitor opened up one store and created a job. Do you see the difference in the mindset?

Open up your current WEALTH FILE and look at what’s in it? Do you want to play in the BIG LEAGUES or in the minors? Do you want to play Big or small? It’s up to you.

Unfortunately, from what I see in my practice, I can tell you first hand, most people choose to play small.

They’re scared to death that they’re going to fail. Fear stops them cold in their tracks. Also, most people FEEL SMALL. They don’t believe that they can make a difference in other people’s lives.

Wealthy people BELIEVE that they have something of incredible value to share with the world. They BELIEVE that they can make a huge difference in the lives of others. They understand that by the law of cause and effect, that if they deliver MASSIVE VALUE to others, they will receive MASSIVE RESULTS in return. In other words, rich people play BIG, think BIG, and PRACTICE doing things on a BIG scale.

At Peak Potentials, the definition they use for an entrepreneur is “a person who solves problems for people at a profit.” As an entrepreneur, you are a problem solver.

Do you want to solve problems for a few people or for A LOT OF PEOPLE? I hope you said A LOT OF PEOPLE! Then you need to decide how you can serve many times more people. As you succeed in serving more people, your income will be rising too.

From what I see with my clients, most people are not living their mission, or coming close to reaching their full financial potential. Most people choose to play small.

In my own business, most financial advisors see a few clients or prospects in a week. I see that many in a day. My intention is to add value to hundreds and then thousands of clients in a year. I choose to play BIG! How about you??

The world doesn’t need more people playing small. Start filling your WEALTH FILE with thoughts about stepping up, playing big, living large and DELIVERING MASSIVE VALUE.

How Committed are You?

The quality of your thinking determines your actions, which in turn determines your results.

Let's examine another of Harv Eker's "Wealth files" and see if it's consistent with your current thinking. If it isn't, maybe it's time to change your "file"?

WEALTH FILE #3

Rich People are committed to being rich.
Poor people want to be rich.

Ask most people if they want to be rich, and by far, they answer yes! I ask my clients this question all the time, and the majority of people say that they absolutely want to be rich.

The simple fact is that MOST people say that they want to get rich, when in reality they don’t.

When I ask my clients “what could possibly be bad about getting rich or trying to get rich?” I generally hear the same things over and over…..

I’ll have to work too hard…..

I’ll be in the highest tax bracket…..

Everyone will want a handout…..

I could lose my health trying to get rich…..

Etc., Etc., Etc.,

All of these reasons are stored in your current “wealth files”, which means that whether you realize it or not, they are a part of your beliefs when it comes to money and success.

On the one hand, you have POSITIVE feelings and beliefs about creating wealth and becoming financially free, while on the other hand, you have NEGATIVE feelings about THE EXACT SAME TOPIC!

What that means is that you will ALWAYS be sending mixed messages about what you really want, and you will ALWAYS sabotage yourself when it comes to wealth because of your mixed feelings. These mixed messages are one of the major reasons most people never become rich.

You now have the opportunity to open up your current WEALTH FILE, and begin to look at what negative feelings you are carrying around inside of you about Money, Success, Wealth, Rich People.

If you heard that wealthy people are greedy, that information is a part of your wealth file. (By the way, are all wealthy people greedy? Probably some are, and some aren’t. Most of the wealthy people I know are also the most generous people I know.)

If you heard that rich people are crooks….(some are, most aren’t)

If you heard that you’ll have to pay too much in taxes…(Jeez, I guess that means you made a lot of money huh?)

If you heard that you have to work hard for money…(actually, if you work smart, you won’t have to work hard for TOO long!)

Whatever you’ve heard IN YOUR LIFETIME, it’s all stored in your current WEALTH FILES. All the positives and ALL THE NEGATIVES.

It’s your job to begin to weed out the negatives, and focus on the ways of thinking that will support you in getting your best results.

The primary reason most people don’t get what they want is because they DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY WANT. Wealthy people don’t have mixed feelings about becoming rich! They are clear about their desire to create wealth. They don’t send mixed messages to themselves or the Universe!

Wealthy people are COMMITTED to becoming wealthy. They are prepared to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes to reach their goals. As long as it’s moral, legal and ethical, rich people are willing to sacrifice to become wealthy.

Poor people have lots of reasons why they might NOT want to become rich. And as long as they continue to send out mixed messages to others and themselves, they'll never be rich.

We’ve talked about the power of intention previously. Intention isn’t necessarily what we say we want, but rather what we actually want unconsciously. And most of my clients will say to me, “Why would I want to struggle?” to which I respond, “I don’t know, why would you want to struggle?”

Chances are, if you aren’t seeing the financial results you want in your life, you are either sending out mixed messages, or you aren’t willing to do whatever it takes to create wealth for yourself. It’s one or the other! You can CHOOSE to change your WEALTH FILES so that you aren’t sending out mixed messages, and you can find your TRUE PASSION so that you ARE willing to do whatever it takes to create wealth for yourself.

Taking this point further, Harv points out the 3 levels of “wanting”. Level one is….I want to be rich, as in, if someone hands it to me, I’ll gladly accept it. Of course, there’s a huge difference between wanting something and having something. Just look around you, how many people do you know who say they want to be rich compared to how many people are rich?

The next level is to CHOOSE to be rich. At least with this level, you are making a conscious choice to become rich. It’s a step in the right direction, but only that, a step.

When you COMMIT to becoming rich, when you are prepared to give 100% of yourself to your goal, that’s when you will start seeing results. When you are ready to hold nothing back, to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes, and NEVER QUIT, then you have the mindset it takes to reach the levels of success we’re talking about here.

To COMMIT means to GIVE COMPLETELY OF ONESELF. It means to become PERSISTENT in the course of action you are taking until you have reached your goal.

In “Think and Grow Rich” Napoleon Hill says these brilliant remarks about PERSISTENCE…

“There is no substitute for persistence! It cannot be supplanted by any other quality! Remember this in the beginning and it will hearten you when the going may seem difficult and slow.

Those who have cultivated the habit of persistence seem to enjoy insurance against failure. No matter how many times they are defeated, they finally arrive up near the top of the ladder.

Sometimes it appears there is a hidden guide whose duty is to test people through all sorts of discouraging experiences. Those who pick themselves up after defeat and keep on trying arrive; and the world cries, "Bravo! I knew you could do it!" The hidden guide lets no one enjoy great achievement without passing the persistence test. Those who can't take it simply do not make the grade.

Those who can "take it" are bountifully rewarded for their persistence. They receive, as their compensation, whatever goal they are pursuing.”

Understanding this wealth file is critical. No more mixed messages. When you are prepared to COMMIT 100% of yourself to creating wealth, you will begin to see the results you want.

Put your hand on your chest and say this declaration out loud….

“I COMMIT TO BEING RICH!”

Hail to the Giants....

Many of the greatest lessons you can learn in life can be learned from sports. I’ve been a sports fan my entire life, and I am positive that the life lessons I’ve learned through sports have made a huge difference in my life.

The New York Giants, 2 touchdown UNDERDOGS, beat the UNDEFEATED New England Patriots 17-14 to win the Superbowl. If you had bet on the Giants to win, you’d have won 4 TIMES YOUR BET!

New England won all 18 games this season, setting records along the way. They were in a league of their own. Before the season began, they were the prohibitive favorite in Las Vegas, and they were living up to their billing.

The Giants were long shots to win the Superbowl prior to the season. They were coming off a mediocre season in 2006, and their head coach, Tom Coughlin, had to interview and explain why he shouldn’t be fired afterwards.

To make matters worse, they lost their first 2 games of the season and were well on their way to losing the third game. Somehow they pulled off a miraculous win, and eventually fought their way back into contention.

When they made it into the playoffs, they were forced to win 3 consecutive games on the road! That’s an amazing feat! They were underdogs in all 3 games, but they managed to win them.

Regardless, they were STILL 14 point underdogs against the Patriots. It was an incredible upset. It was David beating Goliath.

If you ask most unbiased football fans, they will overwhelmingly say that New England had the better talent. Player for player, you’d virtually always take the Patriot player over the Giant.

After the game, the interesting thing was to hear the comments from the players. When asked to explain what happened, to a man, the Patriot players said that they played as hard as they could, and that, for this day, they were beat by a better team.

Success starts at the top. It starts with the leader. With the Giants, it’s their head coach Tom Coughlin. He’s now SUPERBOWL CHAMPION Coach Tom Coughlin. He’s been a successful head coach for over a decade. Year after year, he’s PERSISTENLY been working at his craft with 100% COMMITMENT and PASSION. You do NOT accidentally coach a team to the Superbowl!

What do you think were Tom Coughlin’s goals for the team for 2007?

He wanted to win the Superbowl. He was totally dedicated to the prospects of building a team capable of competing for a Superbowl.
He set up a plan on how he was going to build a team capable of winning the Superbowl.
He assembled a staff of coaches that would help him reach this goal.
Then he went to work.
When things went bad, he worked harder.
He never gave up.
He led by example.
He supported everyone.
He encouraged everyone.

And now, he’s Superbowl Champion Tom Coughlin!

What’s the lesson here?

Know exactly what YOU WANT. Determine your GOAL.
Have a burning PASSION for it. Have an overwhelming DESIRE for it.
Put together a PLAN to get it.
Assemble your TEAM, the people who will HELP YOU achieve it.
Go to WORK.
NEVER QUIT.
